Zips

We’ve selected a range of zips in different lengths and colours to use with our kits to make it easy for you to match the right zip to your project, if you need one. We’ve chosen to stock YKK zips as they are famously known for their top quality, precision and reliability.

Our zips are all nylon coil zips listed with a zip type, teeth width number, the length and the colour. A closed end zip has a bottom stopper on the end to prevent the zip from opening fully which makes it ideal for most of our projects as they can also be sewn into place then trimmed to length afterwards. The zip teeth width number is in mm so a No. 3 zip has 3mm wide teeth when closed. The length describes the actual length of the teeth from one end to the other, excluding the zip tape.

When you’re choosing a zip to go with your kit, you need one that’s the same length or longer than listed in the Ingredients - then simply choose the colour you like!
